No, GoShorty Legal Expenses Cover is an optional add-on. You can choose to purchase it for added protection, or rely on your own legal representation if needed.
Unfortunately, Legal Expenses Cover cannot be added after you’ve purchased your temporary insurance policy. You can only add it while buying your GoShorty temporary insurance policy.

Legal Expenses Cover policies can be cancelled should you no longer require cover, however due to the short-term nature of the policy, no refund will be due should you wish to terminate cover after the policy has started.
