Temporary Courier Van Insurance FAQs

What does courier insurance mean?

Courier insurance covers your vehicle for carrying out couriering services. It covers the carriage of goods for hire and reward work, which relates to individuals or businesses making deliveries professionally. Courier insurance is a comprehensive package that covers you whilst on the road, meaning the vehicle carrying goods is protected during the insurance period.

Do I need courier insurance to make deliveries?

You should have courier insurance whilst making deliveries, as it protects your vehicle whilst it is being used for courier services. Failure to have suitable insurance when making deliveries means you won’t be insured and could lead to criminal charges.

Will my policy cover the goods I’m carrying?

No, our policies will cover the carriage of goods for hire and reward, but this does not include protection for the actual goods you carry. This type of policy insures you to use the vehicle that is carrying goods, but will not cover the actual items.

Is hire and reward insurance the same as courier insurance?

Yes, our courier insurance is the same package as hire and reward insurance, allowing people to use their vehicles to make deliveries, carry goods and make multiple stops throughout the day.

Does courier insurance cover food delivery services?

Yes! Courier, or hire and reward insurance, will cover you for food delivery services, making it a great option for those looking to get into this type of work.
