We’re always happy to share our temporary car insurance expertise, data insights, and survey results with journalists, which is why you’ll find us across the UK’s leading publications, both online and in print. Here’s a round-up of some of our recent coverage.

‘When is the best time to renew your car insurance?’

In April 2025, The Telegraph published a report on car insurance renewal after the ban on ‘loyalty’ rates, offering guidance on shopping around for the best deal.

Phil Evans, Managing Director at GoShorty, said:

“If you spot a better deal mid-policy, you can make the switch. While there might be a cancellation fee from your current insurer, the potential savings from a cheaper policy could more than make up for it.”

‘Britain’s most beautiful views revealed’

In April 2025, The Daily Mail, Daily Mirror and Daily Express featured the results of our most recent survey into Britain’s most beautiful hotspots.

Phil Evans, Managing Director at GoShorty, said:

“It’s incredible to see how many breathtaking views we have right here in the UK – so stunning, in fact, that our research shows many Brits don’t even recognise them as homegrown… At GoShorty, we’re all about making road travel flexible and hassle-free, so drivers can hit the road and experience the UK’s beauty without the commitment of a long-term insurance policy.”

Our research into speeding offences was published by Your Money and Honest John in March 2025, revealing huge increases in speeding fines across the UK.

Phil Evans, Managing Director at GoShorty, said:

‘Experts say drivers face £1,000 fine on Valentine’s Day due to little-known rule’

In February 2025, the Daily Express featured our driving advice ahead of Valentine’s Day, warning drivers that distractions could breach the Highway Code and cause some unexpected driving fines.

We explained:

“Love might be in the air, but actions like holding hands, kissing, or being distracted while behind the wheel could find you risking ‘driving without due care and attention’… Keep both hands on the wheel and save the affection for later!”

‘Predictions 2025: GoShorty looks at motor sector’

In December 2024, Daily Express and Insurance Edge shared our predictions for the motor insurance industry.

Matt Wood, Director of Data and Pricing at GoShorty, said:

“Our internal data shows that one-day policies are most popular on Saturdays… This reflects increased demand for flexibility and shifts in how drivers insure their vehicles.”

Andy Moody, Founder of GoShorty, added:

“GoShorty is passionate about supporting zero-emission efforts… We recognise our role in driving change, which is why we offer policies to electric and hybrid vehicle users, with electric vehicle policies increasing by 167 percent YoY.”

‘Learners looking for auto tests, as manual gear change becomes a relic’

In May 2024, Insurance Edge published our research into the rising demand for automatic driving tests.

We explained:
